The title of this post is not only the title of the last song in Mary Poppins (one of my all-time favorite movies) but it is also what we did Monday night. Even before Nathan got has cast David had ordered three of these cute little pocket kites from Woot.com. Now that water play is out for a while, the kites give the boys a nice fun dry activity to do outside.
I'll show the video first so you can see the kite in action and then it will be easier to pick it out in the pictures. The kite itself is only five inches long but the tails that help stabilize it are much longer of course.
Here's our lovely little kite up in a beautiful clear blue sky.

David snapped this great shot of Nathan flying the kite...

and Benjamin...

and me. It really is fun and easy to fly.

I snapped this shot of David as he was winding it up for the night.

Here are a few more I snapped of the guys and their high flying fun.

Benjamin quickly tired of the kite flying. He liked it okay but would much rather be able to roam around instead of just standing in one place. He sat down at the edge of the grass for a moment (probably to look at a bug if I'm guessing) and so I snapped this pic of him pointing to the kite.
He also wandered behind the Crete Myrtle bushes.

You can find these fun little kites online at
http://www.mightykites.com/ but they're more expensive on that website than they were on Woot.com. (In case you don't know, Woot is a 'one deal a day' site that usually carries techie stuff, which explains why my hubby was hanging out there. They occasionally have what they call a Woot Off where they clear out their inventory by offering an item til it is sold out and then offering another etc for 2or 3 days. The set of three mini-kites was a Woot Off special.)
