Here's all my men folk just a swangin'.
The boys also enjoyed playing on their playground.
This is from another fine day. The boys were racing each other up and down the drive way.
We've sprouted! Our seeds we planted back on April 6th have germinated. Yeah!
A few years ago, back when my life consisted of little more than nursing, changing diapers, and sporadic sleep, a mentor mom shared with me that that part of the mothering process was a lot like the part of gardening where you're just watering dirt after you've planted the seeds. Every day you go through all the necessary tasks but don't see much indication that any sort of advancement of the little one is taking place. Then slowly but surely this little plant/person starts to emerge. You begin to catch glimpses of what they are going to grow to be. Those were encouraging words when I was a new mom and they continue to encourage me as I see more and more of my son's personalities form and amaze me. We're definitely past those dirt watering days and I can't wait to see all the ways we'll change and mature (with God's help) through this growing season.
