Christmas In The Metroplex - Part 3

When we got back from our trip to Keller, Nathan was napping next to David as he watched a little TV. Benjamin (who had started his nap not far from Joel's house) and I piled into the bed with them and soon David was the only one not snoozing.
Once everyone was awake again we all met up in Grandma and Poppo's room for Nathan to open his presents that we had brought back with us. The first one he opened was actually to both he and Benjamin and it was the Pixar shorts.
Next Nathan grabbed this big box.
He did a great job getting all the paper off the box
but needed Poppo's help getting the box open.
Inside he found James (a splendid red engine) along with his tender and two troublesome trucks (one of which giggles). If you haven't seen the Thomas the Tank Engine videos probably none of that last sentence will make any sense to you but that's okay. Three years ago I wouldn't have had a clue about any of it either.
We're big Thomas fans at our house so we were glad to have these additions to our island of Sodor railway friends.Who needs track? - these guys ran just fine on the desk in the hotel room.
After Nathan opened his presents we all went to dinner at a nearby IHOP and then came back to the hotel for the night. The boys got some more staircase climbing time in.The boys did occasionally play going down the stairs.Benjamin and I stop and smile for Dad real quick. Here they are racing out of the elevator ready to make another round.Benjamin enjoyed his bath in our room before bed. (Nathan spent the night in Grandma and Poppo's room.)After bath Dad read him some stories. Then off to bed for the night.

The next morning (Monday) we got up and had breakfast down in the dining area then loaded up to come home. The boys thought the luggage cart was another fun toy to play on (at this age I guess anything can be a potential toy).

I even posed with them for a cheesy smile pic.

Grandma and Poppo and Great Grandmom left earlier in the day. We finally got everything loaded up and headed out by about 10:30 or so but our adventures weren't over yet.
