Christmas With Dad's Family

We had Christmas with David's family on Sunday the 30th (thus concluding all our Christmases for this year). We went to his parents house for lunch then after lunch David's dad read the Christmas story from the Bible (part of our Christmas tradition with them) then we opened all our stocking stuffers and big gifts. At this Christmas everyone (all ten of us) have stockings that everyone else purchases stocking stuffers for. It's always lots of fun.

Once again David took video with the real camcorder so I'll have to work on getting pictures and video of all the excitement later.

We snapped this great family shot in the backyard after we had opened all the gifts.I took some video the way I know how to with our little camera so here's Nathan swinging in the plane swing...

and Kathryn pulling Benjamin around in the little wagon.

When all the kids are outside playing together it seems that every shot is an action shot but that's okay - they're still pretty cute pics.

Kathryn tends to dote on the boys and spoil them a bit but that's okay - what are cousins for?Nathan took a little time out from all the activity and sat a spell on this bench in the middle of the oak trees.

He was soon back to swinging the bat, though in a most unconventional method. Dad needs to work with him on his technique don't you think?

Nathan and Benjamin both got toboggans and mittens with Mater and Lightning McQueen (from Cars) on them.

They also received a bowling set. They're all about knocking stuff down so this was a perfect gift for them. It sounds so destructive when all the pins go flying - they love it.

Benjamin received this great boat/barge with an ATV and a man that fit inside. It also has two cages, a harpoon, a catfish, a turtle, and a snake.

One of Benjamin's favorite things to do is draw. He loves his new big Doodle Pro. It even has a drawer with four different shapes for you use to draw with. Pretty cool toy - I mean for the boys of course - no I don't play with it when they're not looking I wouldn't do that, ha!

Well our Christmas marathon was fun, and exciting, and full of surprises, and tiring (much like my daily life with my three guys). We're grateful for all the many gifts we were blessed with, for time spent with family and friends, but most of all for God sending His only begotten Son so that we would not perish but have everlasting life. Blessed be the name of the Lord!
