City Sidewalks is held in downtown Abiene on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving each year. There are lots of fun activities at different businesses and a parade. The bank has a small choir that comes and sings in the lobby and they have Santa in a sleigh for kids to have their picture taken with him. Part of our family's Christmas tradition each year is taking our picture with Santa Claus (though we don't perpetuate the whole Santa myth at our house). The bank employees' kids can have their picture taken with him before the parade and then after the parade they open the front doors and all the kids in Abilene (that's how it seems) come and sit in his lap. This same man comes each year. I like this guy because he looks very authentic - his beard and hair are the real deal. We thank our friend Dodie for the adorable matching sweaters which her boys wore a couple of winters ago.

In 2004 we only got the Polaroid pic from the bank and it is a box with Nathan's other baby keepsake stuff. (I may try to dig it out and post it later.)After our Santa pic we get to watch the Christmas parade of lights. This year Grammy and Grandpop joined us.

And 2005.
