The Cousins Come To Visit - Part 1

This past Sunday Grammy and Grandpop got to keep Kathryn and Daniel for one last visit before school starts back up for them. We went over that afternoon to play with them and both boys got a short nap in on the way. Though I couldn't see their eyes due to the sunglasses their posture definitely let me know they were out cold. Too cute!
Sunday evening Grammy and Grandpop's church had a back to school bash/carnival and so we all went to that. Here's part of the fam around the table.
Hot dogs were provided so we got the boys one each. Nathan ate his because he had noticed the popcorn machine and we told him he could have some after he ate his hot dog. Benjamin on the other hand was way too interested in the activities to slow down enough to eat very much. Nathan ate almost a whole bag of popcorn by himself - after eating a whole hot dog.
Dad's holding his eldest for a minute. This is the only pic I got of our nephew (bottom left hand corner) since he was quite busy with all the activities and I was trying to help keep up with my two little live wires. The carnival was held in the church's gym and when Nathan saw the circle on the floor in the middle of the gym he said "I'm back in the ring with Apollo Gourd" which is funny only to those of you who have watched the VeggieTales video titled "Sumo of the Opera." His comment certainly made me laugh as I have watched the video numerous times.
Here's one pic to prove that Nathan did actually spend some time in the bounce castle. It just wasn't his favorite thing to do.
Benjamin was a different case, of course, we could hardly get him to come out of the castle. Here's one still pic and two videos that attest to that.

The gym also had some little toddler playground type things over on the side so the boys enjoyed playing on those as well.
I'm not sure what he's doing but Nathan's stance in this pic makes me laugh. There's no telling what he's up to - maybe more Sumo stuff.
After the carnival the boys got a bath and put their pj's on at Grammy and Grandpop's then Kathryn read Benjamin a night-night book and...
Grammy read to Nathan. What a nice end to a fun day!
