Fun at Fort Imagination

As we were leaving the zoo, the boys noticed Fort Imagination and asked to go there so we did. My dad has always enjoyed playing in the dirt and it's even more fun to share the dirt with his grandsons. Here he is showing Nathan how to work the scoop.
Nathan was obviously listening because a little while later he was trying to work it all by himself though t is sort of hard to maneuver all by himself.

Benjamin liked the scoop too - he's all in favor of any playtime involving dirt.

Dad demonstrated the scoop technique for Benjamin.

Benjamin also likes this turtle in the sand area - it's good for covering up with sand or standing on.

The boys call this snake house area the "poky" a term for jail which they learned from the VeggieTales western "Moe and the Big Exit."

Here's a couple of videos we caught of Benjamin enjoying the playground equipment - first the horse (this kid has got some serious upper body strength to move the horse this much) and then...

the slide.

I love just relaxing at the zoo and park wit my fam. It was great!
